Loewenstein - Bända

Arrange reception seating? Done. Establish collaboration zones? Check. Fill out an open plan? Ditto. Daniel Korb's Bända series replaces the mass and bulk of traditional lounge furnishings with a light modular system limited only by the client's imagination. The slender steel frame, offered in eight VOC-free powdercoat finishes, acts like a chassis. Seat cushions, backs, armrests, and tabletops are all universally sized to fi t within the framework, so the furnishings can respond to impromptu group dynamics, such as a bench for three quickly morphing into a two-seater with a shared table. The open frame allows easy access for power- and data-cable management, whose controls are discreetly integrated into the space-dividing arm (in steel, upholstery, or birch veneer). Benches and tables, 24 inches deep, come in lengths of 24, 48, and 72 inches. Table surfaces may be specifi ed in any standard fi nish in addition to 11 paint colors and three varieties of Corian. 800-327-2548; loewensteininc.com.
